YAY! Gilmores are back!

First Gilmore Girls back from hiatus. I thought it was a good episode, but Lorelai's dress is ugly. It makes skinny Lorelai look like she's got a roll under her boobs. It just makes her look dumpy! Somebody describe the scene I clearly missed: Lane's back with her parents, and she's pissed at Zach, so they obviously broke up, but I don't remember that. Help me please!

She should just get back with Dave. I love Dave Rygalski. I won't watch the OC because I don't want Dave to be Seth, even if I would love Seth, too.

I've been listening to Bob's CDs. I'm enjoying the new music! I haven't listened to all of it, but I think I've listened to at least one song from each new group--the iPod's been giving me some really good stuff on shuffle.

To give you an idea of the scope of the music I got from Bob & Jen (if saying it was 30 CDs wasn't enough) check the iTunes stats:

Pre Jen & Bob (12/19): 1185 songs, 3 days, 2.86gb
Today (1/10): 1647 songs, 4.1 days, 3.63gb

Saw the finished Air Hockey/Dinning Table/small cut up square pieces table. Like I always knew - there is no end to your talent

So, Colin Firth as Mark Darcy is kind of cute, I'll give you that. (I chuckled when I read that he play another "Darcy.")

Helen Fielding (who wrote Bridget Jones) has commented that she was totally obsessed with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice when she was writing Bridget Jones, and that's why his name is Mark DARCY. So the casting just made it perfect.

Hey I was reading your blog and saw your question about what happened with Lane and Zac. So I went to one of my favorite blogs/forums that talk about the gilmore girls and read the synopsis of the last episode and it all came back to me. Remember the band had their first big, real gig and Zac has been acting all strange the entire episode- snapping at Lane, complaining when she questions why he writes songs for all kinds of girls names, but not her, he decides to change the set list without consulting anyone, brings an entirely new band member, and just in general is acting strange and annoying. Anyway, the band has a huge meltdown in the middle of the stage and they blow it. I've just copied the next part from the synopsis, " We cut to the alley outside the bar, where Zach is sitting alone in the doorway, holding his broken Gwen Stefani mic. Lane comes out and, instead of killing him, asks again what is wrong with him. He dares to say "nothing," and she snaps. The label guys were there, she says, and it was a disaster. They've blown their big shot. When he shrugs, she gets more frustrated and starts crying. "You let me down tonight," she says. "You let down Gil. You let down Brian." Zach says he doesn't want to hear about Brian, and that the situation "is what it is." Lane is devastated. "Maybe this is why people in bands shouldn't date," Zach adds, confirming my suspicions of last week. Keiko Agena = awesome right here, crying and saying, "Yeah... I guess so," before going back in and leaving Zach alone " So it looks like this is the break-up. And I say good riddance. I never liked him anyway. And I loved the scenes with Lane and Mrs. Kim in the most recent episode, hilarious! Oh and you are soooo right about Lorelai's dress- what were they thinking! Dad and I were watching it to gether and we just looked at each other and said how awful it was. Such a big let-down.
