I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you beg.

I got a bunch of stuff for you today!

For anybody who didn't know, I decided on a name for my Mini. Handsome Rob. It's the name of the british guy in The Italian Job. As soon as I thought of it I knew it was the perfect name. The sexy brit from the Mini Cooper heist film? What could be a better name. I'd been thinking of something cutesy, like Tootles, or Bingley, but once it was actually mine and I was driving around, I knew there was a bit more of an edge to him, the cutesy names didn't fit.

Handsome Rob: He only answers to "The Napster" now, Charlie
Charlie Croker: Oh, no. I am not calling you The Napster.
Lyle: Why not? You call him Left Ear.
Left Ear: Well, I am.
Lyle: And him Handsome Rob.
Charlie Croker: Well, that's because he is Handsome Rob!

Of course, all of this was two days before the big snow. I don't care. He was clean for two days. I'll give him another bath this week, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

I get a child-like level of excitement out of going through an automatic car wash. It's sad really, how fun I find it. But the results are disappointing. The back end of the car was still dirty after the car wash and I had to scrub him down. But now Handsome Rob has his own towel. He's equipped for interstellar travel.

My building got new siding. I don't like brown. I didn't want this color. I wanted blue.

So, I saw this on Valentine's Day. Did somebody have a little oversight? That says Googe, (gooj) right?



I've been getting caught up with Degrassi online. You can watch several of the most recent episodes on The-N.com. You'll never believe it. JT got fucking STABBED. That is some crazy shiz. "I hope I don't get stabbed. I don't want any part of that. I don't care if I go through life and I don't help a lot of people or save a million lives... I just don't wanna get stabbed. If I can get through life without getting stabbed, I win, you know?"

Anybody know who said that?

The N put out this great ad for a couple of their shows--Degrassi & Instant Star, it's a Mac Ad parody, and it's great. I particularly love how proud Emma looks when Jude brings up "STDs of the mouth."



"Amen to that, sister. I mean, hot guys never did no harm. And can you look at these guys?"

Jen, Bob & I went to the Tivoli this weekend to see the showcase of Oscar nominated short films--we decided to be hardcore, and we watched the live action showcase AND the animated. I definitely recommend checking it out if you get the chance. And if you only see one of the two, I'd go with the animated one. Although I will say that all of the live action short were good (even if some of them were rather uncomfortable), while one of the animated shorts was just absolute shit. Ugly animation, bad story. However, it wasn't one of the nominees. The animated shorts are so brief that they also show 4 films that were on the "short list" for nomination. The last one of those was my favorite. It was called "A Gentleman's Duel", and it was great. Funny, clever, amazing animation. There's a trailer for it on the Blur Studios website.

Predictions: Helmer & Sons will win Best Live Action (but I liked Eranos Pocos more--and despite being hilarious, West Bank Story has no chance), and Maestro for Best Animated.
