Let's Make a Deal
Vacation, again! I'm spending the next week (Saturday to Saturday) in Pensacola with family. It's time once again for the pilgrimage to visit Gwen & George.

This means no posts. There is no internet in Pensacola. What? There's not!

But, and here's where the deal comes in, for every person who posts a comment to this post while I'm gone (be sure to put your name in the comment somewhere if you don't have a livejournal ID), I promise to post that many days in a row once I get back.

Yeah?

There was a woman her name was Sa,
Who's niece just left for Pensacola,
To spend Thanksgiving with her Momma's sis,
So her at our table we'll have to miss.
But when she gets back she'll know for sure,
That when we gave thanks, we gave thanks for her!
And although she is having dinner in the Sunshine State.
She'll be in our hearts while the Turkey gets ate!

Your Aunt is a poet even if she stretches the rhymes a bit.

Whatever will you do on Black Friday without the STL Aunts & Cousins shopping trip at 5 AM???? Oh that's right, you're Kim...sleep in!!!

Kim,

It's Monday, November 20th and I hope you are enjoying your time with Mom, TuTu and G&G. I see that Kmart and others are going to be open on Thanksgiving Day for our convenience. Boy is that wrong!!!! Thanksgiving should be a more universal holiday than Christmas. Has Black Friday given way to even blacker Thursday?????

Love you,

Dad (3 for 3)

Kim,

It's Tuesday 5:31 AM (EST) and I am adding to the streak. I just caught up on all of the comments that have been left up to this point. Aunt Sa is certainly prolific, if not Faulkner!!! It's 29.7 F here in the Burgh so hopefully it is warmer where you are laying your head. IT's supposed to warm up again tomorrow (mid 50's) and stay that way in to the weekend. Maybe black friday will be GREEN!!

Love you,

Dad (4 for 4)

Kim,

Now you owe us 5 in a row. No slacking. We want information!!!!

Deb & I attended a neighborhood watch meeting. Met Officer Skip of the local police department. We now have 3 officers working at night. OOOHHH Baby!!!!!!!!! Best part of the meeting, a mother in the neighborhood asked if the officer recognized her and the cop said yes. The officer had taken her to task for leaving the kids playing unsupervised for a period of time in the street. The woman was like, "we have a sign telling people to watch out for children at play." The cop said that the play area was actually a road and the parents should be there 100 % of the time. Deb & I had commented on that when we saw the same thing previously. It's not that this woman is an exception. The parents around here think it's up to the rest of us to keep an eye on their darlings.

Anyhoo...

5 for 5

Love,

Dad

Kim,

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!! A slow-witted bird has been killed in your honor...ENJOY!!!!!

Thanksgiving Day and it's supposed to be in the mid 50's. That's great news for all of the holiday travelers. Deb will again make too much food and it will play havoc with my quest to lose the 14 year old. What a way to go though.

Love,

Dad (6 for 6)

Kim,

The day of a million carbs has come and gone. I was oh so bad, but who could resist? If I would cut myself this morning, cranberry sauce would come out instead of blood. I must go back to being a good boy and rein in my appetite.

Well here it is, BLACK FRIDAY, what an insane day!!!!!!!!! Good Luck and happy bargain hunting to all.

Love you,

Dad (7 of 7)

Kim,

Enjoy your flight home. I hope you encounter the minimum delays etc.

I realize that you might only feel obligated to write 3 days in a row based upon the number of different people that left comments, but I think you should realize that I am very different and therefore all of my posts should count and therefore you owe 10 consecutive days of messages.

Help an old guy out!!!!!!!!

Love you,

Dad (8 for 8)

Kim,

Robin and I wanted to tell you how much we like your site. I just wanted to remind you and your readers that it's time for the Marines "Toys for Tots" campaign and Robin and I are this years chairs. Please don't forget the kids who don't have the resources most of us enjoy.
